But we still pay too much for what's done in the country, our roads are a disaster, poor and homeless ppl are still in need (but I think it's the same everywhere) and while some others are dying from hunger, all what the authorities are thinking about is having a hand over on the internet so the big international lobbies can frustrate more people.
IMO the problem with those media (music, movies and games) is the content and the services, everything's becoming something you download. What's the difference than between a movie you download from a warez website, and a downloaded movie you payed? You get the same thing, just when you buy a movie you have all the commercials before the movie starts, and then you have messages that tell you that downloading is a crime, come on, this message is addressed to the wrong public! And now if you download it illegally, you open the file and BAM the movie starts.
Another example, if you buy a game, you have to copy the serial number, and then be connected to the internet to play the game (not always, but often). If you download it, you just instal it, paste the seral from the serial generator, and then copy and paste the crack, finish, you can play the game, don't have to be connected to play in solo, and didn't hand copy the serial. All these securitys are worthless. And for some games you have to pay for downloadable contents, when will we have to pay for updates to fix bugs?
I might have done a lot of grammar and translating mistakes but it's hard to talk about something more complicated than the usual:
"-Hey how are you?
-Fine, and you?"
When it's not in your main language

I was at Wal Mart the other day and purchased V for Vendetta on Blu-ray...in it is an oft quoted line, that I know they did not come up with, but given the context of the movie and our conversation I find it to be appropriate..."People shouldn't fear their governments. Governments should fear the people." Governments do fear us, but rather than respect that fear and the people, they find ways to manipulate and control us, spewing lie and half truths all over. And we gobble it up. And the government has learned how to make money on it. I am not saying everyone who works for the government is corrupt, but there are more than a few whose selfish desires have long since superseded their assigned task when they got into government work. Governments get people killed, governments create a whole society of refugees whom are overlooked. I know that we need governments, given the current systems in place, but I dream of the day when they are no longer needed....it won't happen, but neither will my threesome with Emma Stone and Maggie Gyllenhal, but that hasn't stopped me dreaming of them either. Oh and Jessica Alba joins in in my dreams too.

I did a little bit of digging on hogan, and found out that the case was settled in 2007, and of course it was sealed so no one is allowed to talk about it. But I appreciate his fighting spirit when he could talk about it. I am way too much of a conspiracy nut for my own good sometimes.

Oh yeah, you are absolutely right. The major corporations in this country have a number in their heads at all times where it is financially viable to pursue legal action or not. This is best exemplified in lawsuits leveled against corporations...they will always try to settle for a large amount of money, at least at first it appears that way, because the cost of losing, or even winning the case, with legal fees and other such pains, is astronomical. I guess what I am saying is DAMN THE MAN! Now, where is Emma Stone?
